A day or half-day of jewellery making & silversmithing just for your group at my lovely woodland studio in the New Forest!

Course description: This course is entirely bespoke to you and your group with the whole studio and my time at your disposal. I will help you design and make projects of your choice in sterling silver. We will cover the fundamental elements of jewellery making and silversmithing, including forming, soldering, texturing and piercing sterling silver.

On the half-day course, you will have time to make one simple sterling silver project, such as a bracelet, two stacking rings, a pendant, stud earrings or cufflinks with pre-made findings. The full day course allows time to learn more skills and work on more complex pieces (e.g. a wide cuff, a ring set with a stone or cufflinks) or make a few simpler projects, such as stacking rings, a bracelet, a pendant or a pair of stud earrings. I will show you how to emboss or stamp your pieces with meaningful patterns or words.

Timings & location: Private courses run on a weekdays and weekends on a day and at a start time convenient to you, at my jewellery studio near Boldre, New Forest. Full course notes and instructions will be provided on booking. There will be plenty of hot drinks and biscuits. Please bring a packed lunch for full day courses.

Cost: All tools, equipment and copper samples are included in the course fee. Cost of silver is extra and payable on the day, based on the weight used by each course participant.
