Lapiz Lazuli Silver Granules Ring
A large statement ring with incredible Lapiz Lazuli in an open back mount (so the stone is visible from both sides), surrounded with fine silver granules and an adjustable hammered accordion band. The fine silver granules are created and soldered one by one using an ancient goldsmithing technique called “granulation”. Some of the earliest granulated pieces were discovered in Iraq, probably created by Sumerian goldsmiths over 5000 years ago.
This ring measures 29mm long and 20mm wide at the bezel. See a photo of it on my (very small hand) for reference.
